Last week, I reported that Australian-born street artist Fintan Magee would be painting a mural at the corner of Lindblade and Sepulveda in Culver City. Now the mural is complete...and a superb addition to the city. Sincere and enthusiastic thanks go to the artist and to Dan O'Brien, who helped bring him to Culver City. Fintan is now working on additional murals at Culver City High School.

Coincidentally (?), the parkway in front this new mural is receiving some attention as well. Here's Dan O'Brien's note on the subject:

Your input is needed, Saturday from 10am-12pm, city representatives will be at the site of the new mural on Lindblade across from Tanners coffee on Sepulveda to get community input and show a rendering of a new rain garden/bio-swale that the city will be putting in on this bleak piece of parkway. So come on down and make your voices heard as the city works hard to brighten a parkway with drought tolerant. plantings.
