The Ballona Creek Cleanup is the City of Culver City's contribution to Coastal Cleanup Day -- this Saturday, September 15, from 9:00 a.m. till noon. To participate, just show up at one of these locations, where there are gates affording access to Ballona Creek:
Syd Kronenthal Park at Washington Blvd. and McManus Ave. (at the bike path entrance)
Duquesne Avenue (north of Culver City Transportation Building)
Overland Avenue (behind Julian Dixon Library)
Sepulveda Blvd. (on Bike/Creek path entrance)
In previous years more than 500 Culver City volunteers have shown up for Coastal Cleanup Day -- with some helping for an hour or so and others staying through the entire event until noon. If you come out, you'll to join more than 15,000 volunteers gathering at 70 different sites all over Los Angeles County to help rid our beaches and inland waterways of trash and debris. Coastal Cleanup Day is an international event, with about 60 countries around the world participating.

Tub's Fine Chili in Culver City would like to thank the volunteers who give their precious time to keep our community and inland waterways free of litter. Anyone who participates in Saturday's clean-up event is invited to come by Tub's for a sweet reward: make a minimum $5 purchase and receive a free rootbeer float!
Just mention La Ballona Creek clean-up. This offer valid Saturday/9-15-12 only. http://www.tubschili.com
