The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Culver City's beloved Apex Aquarium (at the corner of Sepulveda and Lindblade) is getting an extraordinary makeover -- thanks to Venice-based Patrick Marston.
As some of you might remember, Marston also painted the luminous fish mural at the corner of Washington Place and McLaughlin Ave last October.
Patrick will be working on this new mural -- which will also extend to parts of the glass along the front of the store -- for at least this whole week. Please stop by and let him know you love it.
HERE's a short article I wrote about Marston, with plenty of examples of his fine art work.
Thank you to Patrick and his husband, Michael Brunt, for making our neighborhood more beautiful, one wall at a time.
Apex Aquarium is located at 4338 Sepulveda Blvd.

Great. Now, they need to replace that 30 year old, god awful awning. That façade has been an eyesore since I've lived here... I hope they finish the job.
