This photograph, The Yellow by Culver City High School School student Isabel Bennett, earned a gold medal from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.  Founded in 1923, The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the longest running, most prestigious competition and largest source of scholarships for creative teenagers in the United States.

The view, taken from the hill above Jefferson Blvd., should look familiar to Culver City residents. Nice that the rest of the world will get a chance to sample the wide visits -- and creative talent -- of our city!
