Samosa House has purchased the vacant shop next door -- formerly Cameron Supplies -- and is planning to expand their grocery and seating area some time in the future.
According to the restaurant's website, Bharat Bazaar -- as it was originally named -- was the very first Indian ethnic grocery store in Southern California when they opened their doors on June 22, 1979.
Brainchild of Ramesh & Phulan Chander who envisioned a place for vegetarians to come together and celebrate their way of life. In our entire 30 year history we have never cooked or sold any meat products, and we don’t plan on starting anytime soon. January 1, 2006 Vibha & Kunal Bhojak took the leadership, retaining our core values and changing the name to Samosa House to pay tribute to our signature item.
Of course, Samosa House also opened a popular "Samosa House East" location at 10700 Washington Blvd. at Overland. But did you also know that the owners also operate two "Rani's World Foods" locations in Las Vegas and Houston, Tx?
