Executive Chef Sang Yoon -- the mastermind behind Culver City's Father's Office gastropub as well as Lukshon (small-plate South-East Asian cuisine) -- is currently competing in Bravo's "Top Chef Masters." On this, the fifth season of the show, Yoon is competing against 12 other chefs for $100,000, to be donated to a charity of their choice. Chef Yoon is competing for Worldwide Orphans Foundation.
The show premiered on July 24 and airs Wednesday nights. Episode 2, this Wednesday, July 31, is entitled "Asian Night Market," which should be right up Yoon's alley.
We also previously reported that Sang Yoon will partner with pastry chef Sherry Yard to revive Helms Bakery in the fall of 2013, after a 44-year hiatus.
