Shepard Fairey Street Art in Culver City

Shepard Fairey's enormous new mural on the side of the West Hollywood Public Library (below) is getting all the attention right now (and deservedly so, it's spectacular.)

But there is ample evidence that Fairey has visited our fair city and left his mark. 

Fairey is perhaps most famous for creating the red and blue 'Hope' poster that played such a big part in President Obama's campaign (the original of which now hangs in the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston). But on the streets of Culver City, I also recently spotted this sticker:

As well as a classic "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker -- a design that Fairey created in 1989:
