The Culver City Reusable Bag Ordinance -- which effected supermarkets starting on December 28, 2013 -- expands today to affect smaller grocery stores today, June 27, 2014. The ordinance, aimed at reducing the number of single-use plastic bags in the environment, requires a 10¢ charge for each paper carryout bag sold to a customer.
