Today Culver City's Plastic Bag Ban Extends to Smaller Grocery Stores

The Culver City Reusable Bag Ordinance -- which effected supermarkets starting on December 28, 2013 -- expands today to affect smaller grocery stores today, June 27, 2014.  The ordinance, aimed at reducing the number of single-use plastic bags in the environment, requires a 10¢ charge for each paper carryout bag sold to a customer.

Any reflections on the first six months of the ban? Have we gotten into the habit of using cloth bags?
