The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Construction continues apace on architect Abramson Teiger's design for the complex of five retail and office buildings that will replace the Branded Arts Building -- across Washington Blvd. from the Culver City Expo Line Station. The complex, named PLATFORM by the architects, will offer cafes, restaurants, retail stores, and 'creative office space.'
According to Eater LA, PLATFORM will be home to New York chef Michael White's first west coast restaurant as well as a Blue Bottle Coffee -- the first Los Angeles location for this San Francisco-based coffee roastery, tasting room, and cafe. The site also adds this, "Nevena Borissova of Curve boutique has signed on to open her first lifestyle store in spring 2015, Curve at Platform. At 7,000 square feet, the shop will sell clothing but also home goods. Australian skin care brand Aesop has a space locked for its first LA location and will offer specific products not sold elsewhere in the US."
According to the Artifex website, the retailers moving in will include Curve, Alice + Olivia, Joie, Rag & Bone, and Morimoto among others.
Here's more evidence of the progress of the construction:
