Update to Sepulveda Widening Project in Culver City

Construction continues on schedule on the project to widen southbound Sepulveda Boulevard to three continuous lanes between Sawtelle Boulevard and Green Valley Circle in Culver City. The contractor recently demolished the roadway north of Jefferson.

According to the City, the contractor has completed a majority portion of the far right lanes with new Portland Cement concrete and the concrete has passed the required strength tests.

Starting June 22 until the week of mid July, right turns from Jefferson Boulevard or Playa Street onto Sepulveda Boulevard will be prohibited due to the concrete construction at the intersection.  To mitigate traffic impacts, there will be no major roadway construction at the Slauson/Sepulveda intersection until the Jefferson/Playa/Sepulveda intersection outside lanes are open to traffic.

Starting the week of June 27, the Sepulveda Boulevard northbound right turn to Green Valley Circle will be prohibited.  The city anticipates this restriction to last approximately two weeks.
