Washington Boulevard/Washington Place Intersection in Culver City to be Reconfigured.

The reconfiguration of the intersection of Washington Boulevard/Washington Place/Tilden Avenue -- as part of the Tilden Terrace project -- began on Monday, April 15, and will continue until early May. There's not much information about what exactly will change at the intersection. From the plans below, to kind of looks like they're going to block prevent drivers who are going Eastbound on Washington Place from turning left onto Washington Blvd. How do we feel about this?

I somehow deleted my answer to your questions so here it is again.  I rode down on my bike and spoke to the guys working on it.  They assured me that it will all be like we would want it to be when finished. And I could see that for myself.   Yes, the diagram does make it appear to have a barrier down the middle, but there won't be.

Then you're my man in the street! Thanks for the footwork.

Ah...thanks for posting this info Donald. How did you discover this? I emailed the city (who are usually terrifically responsive), but heard nothing.

And...doesn't it look like there's a large grey barrier all the way down the center of Washington in the above diagram?

It will all be back to normal when they are finished.  Just now, temporarily, cars heading east on Washington Place cannot continue on to Washington Blvd east. They have to turn left heading towards Venice Blvd.  It is only temporary.
