West LA College in Culver City Presents Free In Depth Seminar on Fracking

West Los Angeles College is hosting a seminar on Fracking from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm this Saturday, March 23. The seminar will touch on democratic process and environmental and personal health in the Ballona Creek watershed communities. It will be held at the West Los Angeles College Fine Arts Auditorium (FA 100). 

West Los Angeles College itself is located on the southwest edge of the Inglewood oil fields in Baldwin Hills, so the material will presumably have direct relevance for attendees, who will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about local oil/gas extraction and fracking and who benefits
  • Understand the health impacts and risks associated with fracking
  • Understand your options and how to exercise your democratic muscle
  • Sign up for direct action that will make a difference
