The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Every other friday at 6:00 pm, I'll post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.'
This time, it's this sign boasting colorfully of Color TV (!) by RCA. I've actually spotted this sign a couple of different places throughout the city, so any of them will count! Do you know where they are?

I'll reveal the answer in two Fridays, when I post a new game.
Two weeks ago, I posted this pastoral image of a bygone Culver City.
A couple of details of the picture could have served as clues -- like the way there are really three references to the Helms Bakery District. One of the reasons for that is that the image is actually located in the Helms Bakery District. It's a smaller part of this artwork which features an iconic Helms Bakery truck crashing through a wall -- or possibly driving into the midst of the above idealized scene. The artwork is located on the 8800 block of Washington Blvd.
The artwork is called "Helms Coach Gone A Rye," and it was a collaboration between artist Andrea Cohen Gehring and muralist Art Mortimer. It was dedicated in December of 2002.
