Every other Friday, I post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.' Last week I asked: Do you know where in Culver City this lettering is? 

I really thought this was the one that stumped everyone. Until 5:30 am this morning, the only one to correctly identify the sign was Jill S. Thomsen -- on the Culver City Times Facebook page, who wrote "The gun store on Washington :) corner of Huron." But then, sure enough, as dawn broke over the city this a.m., Luiz Lopez came through: "Martin B. Retting on Washintgon"

Yep, that's the sign on the side of Martin B. Retting, Inc., one of the largest stores of its kind in California. The company was established in 1921 and has been in its current location at 11029 Washington Blvd since 1958.
