Where Am I in Culver City? Game 072 Solution

Every other Friday, I post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.' Last week I asked: Do you know where in Culver City these weird creatures are?

Two Culver City Times members -- Luis Lopez and Doug Lemon, naturally -- correctly identified the artwork as part of a wild new mural by Kenny Scharf on the side of Davis Brothers Tires at the corner of La Cienega and Washington Blvd. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this mural was curated by none other than Warren Brand of the Branded Arts Building. The shot below of the artist at work on the mural on the other side of the building is from the Branded Arts Instagram feed, but you can head over to Art-Nerd.com for more pics.

dDavis Brothers Tires is something of an institution; according to their sign, they've been around since 1937, and their reviews on Yelp are stellar. Nice to see that they're making an attempt to fit in to the Art District vibe that has grown up around them in the last couple of years.

Here's what the building looked like back in March of 2012.
