Join chef Lisa Baker Morgan at Surfas in Culver City this Saturday, June 9, as she discusses and demonstrates how the French eat well and stay slim. Learn what to do with seasonal ingredients as well as which ingredients to have in a French pantry. There is no entrance fee but class space is limited. The class, which includes class participation, takes place on Saturday June 9th from 10 am to 1 pm. Surfas Restaurant Supply & Gourmet Food is located at 8777 Washington Boulevard.
Chef Morgan, a part-time Parisian and part-time Angeleno is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles. She provides private chef and consulting services as well as cooking classes in Los Angeles and France. In 2010, chef Morgan began the successful blog simple pleasures, which was inspired by her students. In 2011, chef Morgan published her first cookbook, Simple Pleasures: fifty-two weeks of turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary moments.
