Culver City Historical Society Will Host Operations Manager of the Kirk Douglas Theatre

Eric Owen, the Operations Manager for the Kirk Douglas Theatre, will serve as the guest speaker at the Culver City Historical Society’s general meeting this Wednesday, October 16 at 7 pm. The meeting -- which is free and open to the public -- will take place in the Veterans Memorial Building’s Multi-Purpose Room.

Sims will describe the planning and technical work that went into the theatre's renovation from the former Culver Theater into today’s beautiful and intimate venue for experimental theatrical productions.

Sims, who is closely involved with the development and programs of the Kirk Douglas Theatre, will also discuss the Centre Theater Group's plans for its productions -- using pictures and documents relating to the theatre’s history, renovation, and its landmark productions.

The Veteran's Memorial Building is located at 4117 Overland Avenue. The entrance to the Multi-Purpose Room is through the back of the building near the parking lot, and through the Archive & Resource Center space.
