Culver City Symphony Orchestra Will Perform This Weekend

The Culver City Symphony Orchestra will present a concert featuring Saint-Saëns, Shostakovich, and Beethoven this Saturday, May 12, at 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Auditorium. 

The concert will include:

Saint-Saëns: Concerto for Cello, No. 1, a minor, (1872)

Shostakovich: Concerto for Cello, No. 1, Eflat Major (1959)

Beethoven: Symphony No. 1, C Major, (1800) 

The first two pieces will feature the winners of the 2011 Parness Concerto Competition Nathan Le (Cello, Junior Division, age 12) and Leah Hansen (Cello, Intermediate Division, age 16).

General Admission is $15, Kids 18 and under ar $7, and members of the Westchester Symphony Society get in for $10

This performance is made possible in part by the Culver City Performing Arts Grant Program with support from the Sony Pictures Entertainment. 

The Culver City Symphony Orchestra is in its 12 year performing in Culver City. Veteran's Memorial Auditorium is located at 4117 Overland Ave.
