The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
This Sunday, August 9, you'll be able to ride your bike from downtown Culver City to the ocean with only 9 stops. CicLAvia is coming to Culver City. During these free CicLAvia events, whole streets are shut down to car traffic, encouraging bicyclists and pedestrians to explore the city and participate in a space that is normally dominated by automobiles.
They are expecting some 20,000 riders, walkers, skateborders, etc. to roll and walk through to and from Culver City and Venice. You should definitely plan to come out and join the fun!
Obviously, motor traffic moving north or south throughout the city will be delayed, as priority will be given to riders and walkers during this event. Streets will begin to re-open to vehicles promptly at 4pm. Keep that in mind as you plan your Sunday!
Culver City CicLAvia is a joint effort with the City of Los Angeles and CicLAvia, a non-profit organization. All three partners received funding through the grant, with each partner contributing a 20% match through in-kind support or monetary contribution.
