Where Am I in Culver City? Game 017

Every other friday, I'll post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.'

This time, the question is: Do you know where in Culver CIty this funky face is? One hint: It's not graffiti. It's on an official banner for an entity in Culver City. If you know, enter your response in the comments! I'll reveal the answer in two Fridays, when I post a new game.

Last time, I posted this illuminated sign.

No one identified it as belonging to Lucky 7 Liquor at 12408 W Washington Boulevard. That's in West Culver, just west of the corner of Washington and Centinela. The liquor store itself may not be much to look at, but it's a great old sign.

Comment by James Klein on December 3, 2011 at 7:50am: I believe the stone face is the symbol of the Museum of Jurassic Technology. It's one of the first places I fell in love with in Culver City. The museum's founders are David and Diana Wilson. David won a MacArthur "Genius Award" Fellowship for his work at the museum, which is full of fascinating quasi-true displays and actually serves as a kind of museum on museums, raising questions about science, belief, and the nature of what we hold to be true.
