The Online Community for Culver City – The New Scene
Every other Friday, I post a picture of something in Culver City that is 'hiding in plain sight.' Last week I asked: Do you know where in Culver City this tree is?
Culver City Times member Luis Lopez and two other respondents correctly identified the stage as being located on the Sony Pictures Entertainment lot. Specifically, this sign can be spotted on the north side of the studio, at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Keystone Ave. Sony identifies it as a 24,000-square-foot, 40-foot-high stage, but It's a bit difficult to get any information about what movies where actually filmed there. The Sony website has a picture of the Charlie's Angels 2 set built on the Stage 29 (Wow?), but the only other site that mentions the stage identifies it as the home of the "films Moneyball and Armored," (although why they would site the latter incredible forgettable 2009 Matt Dillon/Jean Reno vehicle is beyond me).
