Dreamworld Comics Relocates to Washington Place and Centinela in Culver City

Culver City institution Dreamworld Comics has relocated one block north -- from the Southwest corner of Washington BOULEVARD and Centinela to the southwest corner of Washington PLACE and Centinela.

When we saw that the comics store had moved, my kids mourned the loss of the cool bat-cave room in the previous location (see below), but during a brief conversation this morning, the owner assured me that the new place will soon have a new-and-improved bat cave (higher ceiling, cooler stalactites). He also shared with me his plans for hosting birthday parties and other events in the space in the back of the property. By all means!!

The old bat-cave:

The old location also had spiderman sneaking in the back window.

The new property was previously featured in THIS article I wrote about long-vacant gas station properties around Culver CIty. Since I wrote about the six properties, two are now being used by new business, and one of them will be the site of the new Death-Star 7-Eleven, coming soon.
